In this week’s session of Teen Girls in Business Virtual Mastermind workshop we had 2 extraordinary guests!
Ashleen Dorvilus, Pro-Photographer and Co-Founder of Company Scope Media, SCOPE Visuals. And Landon Herring, CEO of D.E.E.P (Divinely Eloquent Events & Planning).
During this week’s session, we focused on developing our vision, purpose, and motto.
Here Are the Main Topics we Discussed:
- As an entrepreneur never get too comfortable where you are. Always look ahead, keep growing, and keep innovating.
- Remember that everyone can learn and do what you do, so strive to do better each day. Research and study new trends and continuously innovate.
- Continue searching for new target audiences and new ways to provide your service.
- Online social media is important if you use it wisely. Try using it to promote and network with others in your industry.
- Just like in a new job or in school always educate yourself.
- Don’t be afraid to lean into change, change shows maturity, strength, and improvement.
- Don’t be afraid to be in a room full of your competition.
- WORK TOGETHER WITH PEOPLE COOPERVATVLY.
- Although you are working in your job and you already have a foundation, don’t be afraid to research more background information. Doing this does not show your lack of education on your job, it shows how much you want to improve on it, and you are learning just like everybody else.
- “If any of you lack wisdom let them ask God that giveth to all men liberally” which means there is no shame in researching, reaching out, praying for wisdom, asking for resources (we are all human).
Developing Your Brand
Your brand is your company’s identify. Your motto, logo and vision all make up your brand.
Motto:
- A short descriptive phrase about your company.
- It helps consumers and clients understand your business’s value proposition quickly. EX: “Save money, live better” – Walmart or “Publix where shopping is a pleasure” – Publix
Logo:
An identifying visual factor that helps people identify your business.
EX:
Mcdonalds
Vision:
- This is also short and clear.
- What do you see your company creating or helping the community or world around it do.
- Ex: Coca-Cola “ to craft the brands and choice of drinks that people love, to refresh the body and spirit.”
